Episode 4x14 [Down the Rabbit Hole]

Discuss tonight's episode of TVD.

I can't even with this episode tonight. I'm pissed, I figured it would happen, but just seeing it play out on screen, ughhh.

Tyler my baby is gone. All of this just to prop a damn Klaroline. The most basic, bullshit ship ever made? It's so contrived and makes no sense, I honest to god don't see how anyone ships it. I tried, but it's so stupid and Klaus really thinks he is being selfless and doing Caroline some favor by giving Tyler a head start? Fuckkkk this show right now I'm so pissed about Tyler.

And now Jeremy is dead, I swear they better bring him back. I can't even watch that scene again, it's too much and Bonnie laying there helpless and having to watch him die was just
Katherine is a bitch, but I expect nothing more from her. I can't believe I saw people saying they couldn't believe she caused Jeremy's death when she had been working with Team MF. But to me Katherine has always only thought about herself, and the only reason she worked with them is for her own agenda. I do wonder why she wants the cure though? Is she planning to use it on Klaus? How the hell did she know about all of this, has she been watching them this whole time? Cause otherwise it makes no sense how she beat all of them to the punch. I don't get it.

This show...I don't know why I even bother.

2 of my ships died in one night. RIP Beremy and Forwood. I can't believe they built Beremy up just to tear it right back down, oh wait yes I can believe it this is TVD.

I do wonder what will happen to Shane? I think he is in more episodes so who helps him out? I hate him but I felt sorry for him a bit. He got suckered into this cause he thought his wife was really when she was really just a hallucination that Silas gave him. He can still die though. Don't care.

I enjoyed this episode surprisingly through all the bullshit and death it was a good episode!

First of all, the Scottish accent. It was terrible! At the beginning it was believable but then it slowly turned into an English accent towards the end. I was laughing at hiw bad it was, but it was nice to hear a Scot on the show
Katherine was one of my favourite characters, UP UNTIL NOW. Here was me thinking she was team MF, but she backstabbed them all! Ugh, dont like Katherine anymore
I really lliked the Beremy scenes, I was waiting for a kiss or something, then he gets killed right in front of her. Wowwww, pretty low TVD, pretttyyy low.
I still can't believe Jeremy is dead. I always thought he would make it to the end of the programme somehow, but I really hope Silas brings him back somehow. His face at the end will haunt me forever
I still really want Shane to find his wife & son, badly. I dont know why I still like him after everything hes done, but I really want to see him happy with his family
And Tyler. Well. It's clear that Tyler got sent away just to let Klaroline happen, which I'm quite pissed about. From the TC goodbye scene I dont think Tyler will be back for a while, but I hope hes back for the season finale. But I'm really going to miss him. I just can't believe Tyler has been sent away for the third season in a row! I really didnt think they would get rid of him this season with everything thats going on, but it's TVD so anything can happen.
RIP Jeremy, come home soon Tyler :'(

I don't know why people are so shocked about what Katherine did, she has always been a ruthless bitch. Yea, she helped TMF last season, but it was only for her own gains and purposes. And I certainly don't know why anyone would think she gave a sh*t about Jeremy Gilbert, wasn't the first time she was going to kill. Remember the cave? So, I wasn't shocked and I have always not cared much for Katherine, but I like her character for what she is...a villain.

I'm still pissed about Jeremy.

But as for Tyler I don't think he will be back this season at all, it is said that MT moved back to LA. It really sucks and the way they sent Tyler off, like a punk bitch running from Klaus is what really sucked. I mean they may as well just killed him off and had him going down like a hero. I would have preferred that than what they did to him. And why didn't Caroline go with him, she was ready and willing to go with him in 3x22. Made no sense, I think I'm more pissed about this than Jeremy's death.

Shane is ugh, I don't know. I like his crazy ass, but I don't like him if that makes any sense. Like I love her delusional and crazy he is lol. But I actually think he will end up on season 5, especially if TMF goes to college since he is a professor. I think they will end up redeeming his character and say that he was manipulated by Silas and that's why he did all of those horrible things.

I loved this episode, again, awesome episode for TVD. I laughed at the banter between Damon and Vaughn, it was really hilarious imo. Like when Vaugh asked Damon what he knows about tattoos, and Damon answers, "Come on, do it look like I know about tattoos? Look at me, my skin is flawless". Or when Damon was talking about the cure and said, "If I wasn't a vampire I wouldn't be able to do 9 of the things I plan to do to you once I'm free. Then Vaughn pushes him, and Damon says 10 now. Damon wasn't taking him seriously at all, and it was hilarious. I also liked when Damon was tied to the tree, and he said the flies or whatever was bothering him.

Stefan wanting to be human shouldn't really be a shock to Elena. Hasn't she been watching the first two seasons of TVD? The show was acting like it was a big secret or something, when I'm pretty sure he has told her before that he wants to be human.

Oh great, more klaroline, awesome right? I like how Klaus knows a bunch of dead languages, he's so cool you guys. And that Tyler and Caroline had to rely on him to help them out. I did think it was a nice family moment for the Originals when Klaus told Rebekah he wants her to get whatever she wants, and that the cure is only one dose. I did laugh that the show had Caroline begging Klaus to let Tyler leave, like come on. Klaus is oh so generous because he let Tyler get a headstart, before he tracks him down and kill him? And did you guys see the porch scene between Klaus and Caroline, where he was going on and on about how he did some good things for her? Was it just me or did it look like he expected acknowledgement or something because of what he did for her? And when he didn't get it he stomped off?

Oh, and I had noticed that the show had Caroline give the sire bond letting go speech for forwood. At first I was confused, but then realized it was because forwood was over and Tyler was leaving forever. I hated that lame sendoff for Tyler though. Once again a member of TMF loses to Klaus. It's lame how they never get to beat this guy, at all. I'd rather Tyler had died standing up for himself than ran away. The heroes are supposed to beat the villains, and I would have liked if Tyler had actually got the chance to do so, instead Klaus beats him once again. And it wasn't like Klaus gave Tyler much of a headstart, seeing as how in 4x15 Klaus is already looking for Tyler. Klaus probably got mad because Caroline didn't immediately drop her panties at all the "Good" or whatever he said, for Caroline.

I thought Katherine suddenly popping up was lame and fanservice. If she's that awesome at being invisible and staying off the radar, why is she even afraid of Klaus? She manages to sneak on the island with others. She manages to sneak into the other's camp spot. She manages to get into the well without being detected, and leave without being detected. I didn't get the Jeremy thing either. Couldn't she just as easily have used Vaughn to feed Silas? I thought that was lame as well.

But yeah, all in all, I liked the episode but didn't like certain parts of it.

My thoughts exactly. It would make more sense if Tyler did fight back aswell, he never feared death. I'm gutted for him though, I really hope he returns, and soon!

Yeah, I really do think that sendoff was lame. All so klaroline can happen. I think klaroline will have klex, but I'm not sure exactly how or in what context, since Klaus is the reason that Tyler's mom is dead, not to mention Jenna and everyone else whose lives Klaus completely shitted on. I mean I could get it if Klaus was actually sorry or was remorseful for all the shit he's done, but he hasn't been at all. Damon's done terrible stuff too, no doubt, but he's always tried to make up for it and do better. Klaus doesn't care at all.

There was a thingy postd by carina awhile back, where she said that the cries of the forwood fans was heard, and that he would be back for a pivotal moment. I'm guessing prom most likely, and then he'll either disappear again or they'll have Klaus kill him. I think after this last appearance by him, he's done on the show since MT already moved back to LA, and they said this episode was his sendoff, both for his character and for him. But yeah, I had really wished Tyler had got the chance to defeat Klaus, or died trying, because him having to run after all the stuff Klaus has done, to him especially, that sucks.

I honestly don't even get why he had to run. Klaus is leaving this show soon right? For the spinoff? So why have Tyler run when Klaus himself will be leaving soon anyway, and will have bigger things to worry about down in NO? Just to do klaroline? Either way Klaus is leaving this show, so I didn't get the point of having Tyler on the run.

In my own words, I think it's a very important moment.

The definition though is: Of crucial importance in relation to the development or success of something else.

I think it'll be prom when he comes back, and they'll share a dance or something like that, but it'll be one episode though.

According to this, he still won't be coming back coming back, he's just have one episode and leave again.

Honestly I don't think that's good enough. JP herself has said that as long as Klaus is in Mystic falls, Katherine won't be. But Klaus will be leaving Mystic falls soon right? For the spinoff? So why can't Tyler just come back? Klaus won't even be around anymore, and I think this is totally lame, and they should just kill Tyler or something. And besides, Katherine has had no problems appearing in Mystic falls at all with Klaus there. Hell, apparently she's like a ninja or whatever at stealth judging by 4x14. Even in the 20s when she was afraid of Klaus or whatever, she still was following him and Stefan around. Even in s3, she followed them around. Lame. Lame. Lame.

I just think this is really lame, and if they don't know what to do with Tyler just kill him, don't just give a lame excuse that doesn't work for me, since Klaus is leaving anyway.

EDIT: I'm honestly stuck on this logic. Klaus will be all the way in New Orleans dealing with his own problems, so why wouldn't Tyler come back once he's gone? I get that since he's on the run he obv. wouldn't know when Klaus leaves town, but wouldn't Caroline call and tell him he can come home now? I think it's lame. And I think Tyler deserves better.

Ahhh, I'm so annoyed over this storyline. I actually cant believe that Tyler might not be coming back, he has to come back! This does sound terrible, but I would've rathered that Tyler went out as a hero, than running away AGAIN. I just cant believe that they've made him run away for the third time! I cant wait for the episode when he comes back though

I was not happy seeing caroline sending off tyler. If anyone should know better of how it is to run for a life, it should be klaus since he ran from his father(Mikeal). And I don't like the idea of klaroline. I mean as flirting, I am not against it. Its like stefan and rebekah flirting in the 20s.Plus now katherine gets to the cure and kills jeremy. Also, this silas guy seems to be the next-big-thing like we encountered klaus in season 2. So a lot going on, but definitely want tyler around. I mean his werewolf side of leading a pack and gaining its trust jus happened and now he is fighting for his life????Comon klaus, you have been in this situation.

Klaus is a tool if I ever saw one. I really don't want to have to see him have sex with anyone, why can't it be saved until he gets on his show? Him and Hayley hate each other, so I don't get why they would even have sex. The last time they saw each other, Klaus had killed her friend Chris and Hayley was part of a rebellion against Klaus. But I guess them having sex sets up whatever relationship they have in the spinoff, but I still don't want time wasted on Klaus naked and having sex. It's not really something I'm looking forward to, or even want to see.

Tyler, if they're just going to bring him in for like one episode a few times a season, I'd rather they just not and let his character vanish. They already shitted on him with letting Klaus get away with all that crap he did to him, but having Tyler show up for lame one episode sl's is even lamer than that sendoff. I just don't get the point. Matt's still on this show. April, for god's sakes, is still on this show. Liz is still on this show. Like, what's April purpose. Seriously? She hasn't done anything since she became a character and stayed in Mystic falls. This show.

I think Klaus at least is going to be staying till the end of the season, you know, to spend as much time as possible with Caroline. And I guess Elijah and Rebekah won't be leaving until their ringleader leaves. For real though, I think the Originals stay until Silas is dealt with. IDK, I just don't see them leaving town with this Silas end of the world thing happening. There have been times where TMF and The Originals have teamed up with one another, like evilaric or Connor or when they have the same goals.

So that's why I'm confused on whether Silas is actually defeated this seaosn or not, because I can't see the Originals just upping and leaving town without helping. Elijah at least would stay and help, so I'm confused on whether defeating Silas is actually something that may happen this season or not.

The Prom: Elijah and Rebekah are supposed to be going to prom in the prom episode, so I wonder if Klaus is there as well? From what I've read Elijah is taking Rebekah for some reason. So Tyler most likely will be dancing with Caroline, then in a lame contrived scene Klaus shows up and they fight over her.

I'm serious about Elijah and Rebekah being at prom though. There was pics or whatever of a limo and Elijah and Rebekah.

Yea, they probably will finish out the season on TVD. Since, it sounds like the Originals are needed to take down Silas and that's where Caroline is suppose to bond with Klaus or some shit to reconcile with his siblings or something.

I don't know if Silas will be dealt with this season. I kind of hope so, I would like a fresh start for season 5 and would like for it to get back to the basics. That will be kinda hard to do if we already have a known big bad going into the season. I do hope TMF will finally be able to defeat the big bad lol for once.

I think Silas will be dealt with, because I don't see the Originals leaving with this Silas issue unresolved, do you? I think they would stay and help, not hightail it out of town, so I would think Silas is done for. There was an interview video thingy with the cast, where PW said this show will get back to it's roots next season with the Originals gone. So I'm looking forward to that and the Originals being gone.

And If Silas isn't defeated, he must not become a threat until s5 or something. Or the veil plan must not work out like he wants, so he disappears to come up with something else.

I'm not really sure anymore. This show gives me a headache lol. But I do hope that if Silas is defeated, that it will be TMF and not the Originals. I'm so sick of them, so sick of them. I just feel like they are taking time away from other characters and I'm being annoyed by it. The whole Silas/Shane thing was Bonnies SL and here we have Klaus and Caroline finding stuff out about him. Then Bonnie isn't in really any upcoming episodes. She isn't in 16, 18, and probably 20 since that's the Originals episode. Although I love this show, I just don't want to see the Originals and I know they are leaving soon, but I'm tired of them now. And I surely don't want to see Klaus having sex, and if for some insane reason it's with Caroline. I just, I don't know.

I really do think the focus these last few episodes will be on the Originals, since I guess they'll be leaving soon and it's more publicity? 4x16 Klaus sleeps with someone. 4x17 and 18 Klaus works with both Caroline and Stefan. 4x18 is when this supposed Kat/Elijah or Elejah kiss happens. 4x19 is prom where the Originals attend. 4x20 will be focused on the Originals entirely with appearances from the others I guess. I hope after 4x20 they actually leave and isn't present the rest of this season.

If Silas is defeated though, I'm sure Klaus at least will play a part since he's helping Stefan and Caroline look for him, and him and Caroline is surprised by his power in 4x18. If none of the Originals help and leave town, then TMF must defeat him on their own next season, which I'm looking forward to should it happen.

You're right that it seems like Bonnie isn't in many episodes. Only 4x16 mentions her, the others are only about Stefan, Damon, Elena, Caroline, Klaus, Rebekah, Hayley, and Elijah. Most likely, since I think other characters besides the Originals will show up in 4x20, she will be in 4x20 and the other episodes leading up to the finale. Maybe that's when this Silas/veil stuff will play out, during the last three episodes.

It's like they shoved Bonnie down our throats from episodes 9 to 15, so we wouldn't be pissed when she is gone every other episode afterwards LOL. It just seems like she is missing from her own SL, same thing happened last season with Abby, Caroline took over her SL with her mom and it seems like it is happening again.

I'm a Bamon fangirl hardcore, so I may be delusional in saying this but I saw Ian saying he would be the only one not going to New Orleans so I'm hoping maybe he stays in MF and we get some Bamon scenes. Yea, I know I'm delusional lol!

But I really thought that they would only have Elena, Stefan and Damon in that episode and then Originals of course. So hopefully I'm wrong and we get some Bamon.

I am really interested to see what gets Klaus out of MF like how they go about it.

LOL I saw that interview and was like wtf, why is Damon staying behind while everyone else goes to NO? I guess he stays behind to take care of something, so maybe we will get some Bamon. That's 4x20 right? Maybe Damon stay behind to help Bonnie with the whole veil thing/keeping her from killing anyone, while everyone else goes after Silas?

I'm personally hoping Klaus gets his ass handed to him by Silas, and runs out of town like a little bitch. It's about time Klaus gets his ass handed to him for once, and he becomes someone's bitch. It seems to happen to TMF a lot with the Originals.
