I nearly pissed myself with laughter

This particular sl..to be fair, could have worked if it was handled by better writers. But the choppy JP likes to leave bits and bats out AND ONLY remind us of stuff when it is convenient for her But yeah, I regret not making a bet on this one

I really didn't have much issue with Hayley being pregnant. I can't lie though, I burst out with laughter at the reveal. Tell us how she is pregnant, how is it possible. Yea, I understand the werewolf in Klaus did it but if he is technically dead....idk. It just seems too illogical. Especially after telling us in TVD how vampires cannot procreate. So, if you are going to change the rules for hybrids, at least tell us how.

I really like Marcel. He is delicious to look at, but otherwise I just didn't connect with the pilot. And Klaus throwing a hissy fit because he wants to be king. I just can't root for him.

It really pisses me off though, that people are sending Phoebe Tonkin hate because of the character she plays. It's so disgusting. People should really just grow up. Because that's just not cool, man.

I don't see it getting picked up though. People on tumblr really went in after this episode. It was so damn funny.

I actually did enjoy the episode, it felt really different from TVD. They say it's going to be more adult and mature, and I can believe it from what I saw of it in the episode last night. The baby sl though, had me laughing my ass off. I don't get it, how can he have babies? Sure, he's a werewolf, but he's also a vampire so shouldn't his vampire side cancel out him having babies? Or is his werewolf side more dominant or something? IDK. Either way that just makes the spinoff a vampire diaries soap opera, which is what TVD is now basically, so how is it different?

I enjoyed Klaus this episode, he was kinda awesome. He was whining a lot though, what with his "I want to be King", and his bitching about Marcel having control, the issue with Hayley and his baby, and him being all pissed that Marcel has what he wants. I did enjoy him challenging Marcel at the end though, because he's right. KLaus is immortal, nothing can kill him except the WOS, so what hope does marcel has if Klaus goes against him? I also liked Klaus biting one of Marcel's bodyguards or whatever, and then challenging Marcel to kill him lol.

I also liked Elijah this episode. It seems this spinoff brought the badass side of Elijah out again. Him lifting the dude in the air and ripping out his heart was awesome. And impaling the one dude was also awesome. LOL at Elijah being all for Klaus taking care of the baby, and being redeemed. I wonder if they are going to show flashbacks of the Originals when they was in NO before they had to leave? It sounds like they really liked it there, so i hope they stay. Also, LOL at the noble, kind, Elijah being willing to kill a man he doesn't know just so Klaus can take care of a child, and be King again.

I loved Rebekah as always. I'm glad she's not willing to give Klaus another chance after all the times he's stabbed her in the back. I'm actually surprised that Elijah is willing to give him so many chances, since Klaus has brought both of them nothing but misery and pain. I can see why Rebekah isn't willing to drop everything and follow Klaus. I also loved her convo with Kat, but Kat seems like such a different character now, and since when has Kat and Klaus been driven by the same things? WTF?? Kat doesn't even seem like the same character, I was actually like how did Elena get out when Kat was in the scene with Rebekah, lol.

Marcel was the best part of the episode. I loved how he didn't back down from Klaus, even though Klaus would destroy him without trying. Marcel was very entertaining, I loved how sadistic he was when he killed that witch, and how he seems to enjoy himself and being the King. The first scene with him singing How you like me now was hilarious and awesome at the same time. More of him please! This guy knows how to have fun, and I love the whole vampire clan, King of the vampires/supernaturals thing they have going on. Also loved his "I AM THE KING"! line to Klaus. I don't want Marcel to die, and for Klaus to take over though. It just seems like Klaus wants it because he thinks it's rightfully his, and he thinks he should just be given it, since he was bitching about it the whole episode. But yeah, Marcel is awesome, fun, sadistic, arrogant, and he doesn't take crap from anyone, not even Klaus. Marcel used what Klaus taught him to take control and become King was nice too, and I loved how friendly he was towards Klaus and told him, What's mine is yours.

Like I said before, I loved the episode, up until the whole "Klaus, you are the father" sl they decided to incorporate. I still don't get how he can get anyone pregnant, since he is still also half-vampire, so shouldn't that cancel out him being able to reproduce? Or is his werewolf side more dominant? Either way the baby sl kinda turned me off this spinoff, because WTF?? And I don't really hate Hayley like so many others do, I just think her character needs to be developed more because it was kind of flat before. Oh, and Klaus listening to the heartbeat of the baby was LOLWorthy and I couldn't stop laughing after it was revealed he knocked up Hayley. Elijah trying to make Klaus accept responsibility for the baby, start a family was also LOL. I'm firmly with Rebekah, that baby not having Klaus in it's life is the best thing for it. He would make a terrible father. He's a terrible person altogether.

What was JP thinking when she wrote the baby stuff? That it was a shocking plot twist? That it was a awesome sl? LOL, JP only knows how to write stuff as a soap opera, look at how TVD is now from what it was in s1 and 2.

ETA: The ratings for last night's episode was bad, but I think I read somewhere, EW I think, that said it'll still be picked up. I hope so, because I think it's time the Originals left and the characters of TVD get the focus again.

It is not that I hate the idea of the show or what they are trying to do with it. I just feel like the execution was wrong. It lacked logic. And I wish they would have explained further about certain things that from watching TVD, just doesn't make sense.

For one, if Klaus so badly wants what Marcel has. What is stopping him. Like Klaus said he is truly immortal because he has access to the only thing that can kill him, which I'm sure no one on this new show knows about. And they can't kill him regardless because Marcel is in his bloodline, and no telling how many other vamps in that town. So, they can't kill him. So Klaus can literally do whatever he wants to do. But now that I'm thinking about it, I guess I can see where the baby comes in at. ONce they find out Hayley is his baby momma LOL, they will use that against Klaus to get the upper hand. But still Klaus could just kill them all, especially with the witches on his side. So, that's probably why they made her pregnant because otherwise Klaus is unstoppable.

But the baby thing is so out there. Klaus is technically dead, right. So how is he producing any sperm? Like I just don't get it. I wish they would have explained that more. Cause from what we know vampires cannot procreate. You can't just change rules without a logical explanation. The werewolf crap does not work for me because Klaus is still technically dead. Also, will the baby be a hybrid? Or just a wolf?

And one more gripe, well more of an annoyance. Why was it that when Damon and Stefan went to NO in 4x08, there was none of this stuff taking place. No vamps running rampant.

Don't get me wrong. I will still give the show a chance if it gets picked up. Because Marcel is awesome. And I really do love Joseph Morgan and want this show to work for him. I just think it needs to be written better because I was honestly bored throughout the episode. Except for the Marcel and Marcel/Klaus scenes. It was nice as well to see that Elijah-ness come back to the screen

Klaus didn't make me like him any more. Still hate is just as much as ever LOL. I did like him getting in Marcel's face because he had a very valid point. I also loved when Marcel told him, "what's mine is yours. but it's mines" that was a great line and very fitting.

We was right about Klaus not having the cure shoved down his throat. He still is a hybrid Original. And I don't get the baby thing either, because he is still a vampire as well, so it should still cancel out his ability to have a baby. But honestly, what else can you expect from JP nowadays? She doesn't go by the established mythology anymore, and just pull shit out her ass now. I can't believe I actually expected this spinoff to be written good, that serves me right since JP is the showrunner for this spinoff, but whatever. The same with the Klaus/Marcel thing. It's just for plot purposes otherwise Klaus could easily destroy him and his men without breaking a sweat.

I enjoyed Klaus but I found him whiny. He just goes to NO and expects to get everything back, without even working for it. I'm glad Marcel stood up to him, screw Klaus. Like, this dude seriously goes there and whines about wanting what Marcel has, and gets all mad because he doesn't have it. Fall back Klaus.

Marcel is awesome, nuff said. He seems to really enjoy being a vampire, was sadistic when it came to killing the witch, and he seems fun and to be laidback. He reminds me of Damon, where he enjoys being a vampires and has no qualms whatsoever with killing anyone who gets in his way. And, another thing, I don't want Klaus to kill Marcel and take his place as King, but I guess that's the direction the show is going. Oh, and as mentioned in my other post, I love the whole vampire court/supernatural run the city thing this spinoff has going for it, as well as how out in the open the killing and the vampires are.

ETA: The spinoff has been ordered, it has 13 episodes so far, and the rating for last night's episode was adjusted up to 1.0. So, YES!!!!!!! KLaus is gone from TVD!!!!!!! THat's all I wanted! Good luck on your own show, Klaus, but hope to never see you on TVD again. Maybe now TVD can get back to how it used to be, without the Originals hogging up air.

Aw man i actually cant get over that klaus is going to be a dad, he'll be terrible hahahaha, poor kid. I thought the episode was pretty good, it was nice to have an episode that only had 2 elena scenes, shes normally in all o f them haha!

Marcel irritates me already, as soon as i saw him i knew i wouldnt like him my hatred for klaus actually grew in this episode, which i didnt think was possible

Elijah looked amazing, im going to miss him in his suit on VD now i'll miss rebekah as well because she is my favourite female on the show

But well done to JP for getting the show picked up! Im happy for her

I'll miss Rebekah too, she's actually the only original that I wished had stayed on TVD.

Josh, I haven't been on much lately. School is kicking my ass. But, in an interview JP says that she changed who would get the cure half-way through the season. Who do you think originally was going to get it and who do you think will get it now?

Yup, I saw that, and we all know how changing the sl mid-season affected things as a whole last season. Why do they keep doing it? SMH. Well I originally thought Damon would be getting it, because of him not wanting to be human or whatever, but now I have no idea. I think Elena might get it now, because if Stefan got it that would basically be his HEA wouldn't it? Now I'm thinking Elena might not stay a vampire, which, imo, completely negates s3. What was the point in turning her last season if this season she's just going to turn back?

What happened to the vampirism = growing up, maturing, etc, theme? Wouldn't that regress Elena's character instead of moving her forward? She'll go back to being weak, defenseless, and needing the Salvatores and everyone else to protect her, instead of being strong and able to fight and defend herself.

That, plus JP's comment that she changed her mind about the cure mid-season has people thinking Kol might come back. Because, apparently, she tweeted Kol fans that she hears them, in regards to the Kol trends and complaints, but that she can't give out spoilers or whatever. So people are thinking Kol might be the ghost who gets to come back and go to his family in nO. And there's speculation that the cure, when ingested by a ghost, lets ghosts come back from the dead.

It's just getting more and more ridiculous isn't it? What is JP thinking!

Other then that, the ep was ok, made a change for it not to be all about Elena!

I enjoyed the show. So i guess this is goodbye to the originals since we are nearing the end of this season.

Okay, well half-way through the season is when Damon started talking about how much he didn't want the cure and didn't want to be human. I think originally it may have been Klaus if they didn't do the Originals because halfway is when we learned about them actually doing the pilot for TO.

I always thought the whole, vampirism = growing up thing was stupid. You don't have to become a vamp to grow up. I don't think it was really necessary for Elena to become a vamp to grow up. So, I never understood when JP said that.

But hayley is carrying his child and klaus did agree to a family affair at the end . It would be unfair that hayley is jus going to be a carrier and then klaus gets to flirt with caroline at the same time. I know that klaus killed his own mother, but ignoring hayley out after klaus considering their child would be odd to me.

Just because you have a baby with someone, doesn't mean you must be in a relationship with them. JP has already said that Klaus and Hayley won't be together. That doesn't mean he is ignoring the baby, he can be a family with Hayley and the kid without being in a relationship.

I also think the vampirism= growing up theme is lame, but I was thinking from the POV of the show and JP. And JP had said that Elena would be growing up or whatever this season because of the vampirism means you grow up and become your best self or whatever. But yeah I think that theme is lame, as well as the theme where Elena has to lose every single one of her family members to grow up. I still maintain that Jeremy didn't have to die, and it's lame that Elena has to "move on and accept it' in order to grow up and be on her own. Like, I just don't get it, but these are the themes that JP is pushing this season so...

What about that thing that said JP and Jomo knew about the spinoff at the beginning of this season? I thought I had read that somewhere?

I want it to be Jeremy TBH, because I don't think it's fair Elena has to lose every single one of her family members and move on to grow up. I like Alaric and Team Badass and all, but if it was a choice I'd choose Jeremy. I just don't get the everyone's family and loved ones has to be killed off, because it's a vampire show rule that this show has.

I don't think he'll be the one coming back, because he has his own show now. I think it comes down to three characters who might stay for good, and that's Jeremy, Alaric, or Kol.

Yeah, I think it'll be him too. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Team Badass/Dalaric but I would rather Jeremy come back so Elena would still have family alive, you know? What would Alaric do anyway, besides be Damon's friend again and drink with him? Wasn't he killed off because they couldn't find a sl or whatever for him? So I don't get how he'll be relevant since Elena, Bonnie, and Caroline is going to college, and everyone else is moving on and all this other stuff.

I really don't see the point in him returning cuz he does not have much business besides fooling around in mystic-falls.It would really make sense if jeremy returned, cuz i think this show needs humans.

We don't know who the person who will stay will be. A lot of people think Kol because that would put him on the Originals show. Some same Jeremy or Alaric. But all of them will be in the finale.

I prefer Jeremy because I really just don't care about Alaric or Kol, TBH.

I hope it'll be Jeremy or Ric, or even Jenna. I don't think it'll be Jenna though.

I love Alaric and Jeremy both, but if there was a choice then I'd pick Jeremy. For the simple fact that Elena would still have family around and alive and well. I miss Alaric and his bromance with Damon, but I want Elena to not lose every member of her family so I want jeremy to come back.
